HaulNumbers is an independent website that builds free calculators and plain-English guides for US owner-operators and small trucking companies. It is run by Fiaz Ahmad. Our goal is simple: help drivers know their real cost per mile, price loads with confidence and keep more at tax time.

Editorial standards
- Show the math. Every calculator shows its formula and a worked example, so you can check it.
- Primary sources. Figures come from the IRS, FMCSA, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI). We link to sources on the page.
- Kept current. We review rates and benchmarks at least once a year, and when the IRS publishes new per diem rates each fall. Every page shows when it was last updated.
- Independent. Advertising and affiliate partners never change a calculator's results or what a guide recommends.

Found a mistake? Please contact us. We fix confirmed errors quickly and update the page date.
